Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, Good & Enough Therapy does NOT accept insurance. However, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Zelle, Venmo, or Cash.

If my child already has an initial assessment from another clinic/provider, do I still need to get an initial assessment before starting therapy sessions?

Nope. If you child already received an initial assessment from another clinic or provider within the last 6 months, we do not need to perform an initial assessment. You will just need to provide a copy of the initial assessment.

How many therapy sessions will my child require?

The number of therapy sessions needed to achieve functional mobility varies based upon your child's needs and speed of progression, in addition to consistency of performing home exercises provided to you by the therapist. However, it is our goal to optimize your child's gross motor development with as few sessions as possible.

Does the family need to provide all the toys and equipment for therapy sessions, or will the therapist bring and provide these?

The therapist will come to your home with some toys and equipment needed to help optimize your child's gross motor development. However, we encourage families to have some of the child's favorite toys available. We also strive to teach parents how to use the home environment to optimize gross motor development and limit the need for excess equipment costs.

What are the steps for booking an appointment?

You can book online for any parent consultation, initial assessment, treatment session, or parent education. After booking, you will receive a follow-up email from the therapist detailing everything with more information. You will also need to have filled out the booking form in preparation for an initial assessment. Alternatively, you can email, call, or text Clarissa to schedule an appointment.

What is the typical format of an initial assesssment?

Typically, the initial assessment will start with about 15-minutes of the therapist talking to the caregiver to hear more about their concerns. After this, the therapist will begin the hands-on portion of the assessment, including evaluating range of motion, strength, reflexes, and gross motor skills, in addition to performing a standardized assessment. The hands-on assessment will end around the 50-minute mark of the hour, and the last 10 minutes will be used to discuss plans for treatment and next steps.

What is the typical format of  a therapy session?

The first 5 minutes will usually involve catching up with caregiver to discuss the child's progress. The next 45-50 minutes will be used for treatment. The last 5-10 minutes will be to demonstrate home exercises for parents and wrap up with any questions.

Can my pet be roaming around the house during the therapy session?

While I love seeing your pets, I please ask that you keep them in a separate area away from the therapy session. Pets can be a distraction for your child and interrupt the session. I want to give my full attention to you and your child and maximize my time with you both.

Do you offer weekend appointments?

Yes! I am open to working some weekends. Obviously, this may not be an option as consistently due to life, family, friends, and fun also being a priority for me and you, but reach out if interested!
