Why do initial evaluations and reassessments cost more?

Dr. Clarissa Annarella performs standardized testing during initial evaluations and reassessments, which take more time to perform, score, and write-up in her report. Initial evaluations and reassessments are used to analyze or reanalyze your child's progress, update medical information and pertinent patient history, and update goals - all of which require more time to document post-session.

* Dr. Clarissa can provide families with a Superbill to get reimbursed by their insurance for services.
Village - Insurance Coverage
Dr. Clarissa is now contracted with Village -- an online platform which connects families to physical, occupational, and speech therapists for their child. Village matches a family to a suitable therapist within the family's comfortable travel radius if in-clinic or with a therapist who will travel to the family's home, like Dr. Clarissa. If a family chooses to find Dr. Clarissa through Village, then the family can use their insurance for therapy sessions.

Insurances Accepted through Village:
-
Blue Shield California
-
Anthem Blue Shield/Blue Cross
-
United Healthcare
-
Cigna Healthcare
-
Tricare

How much will services cost with insurance coverage?

Costs will vary depending on your insurance provider, whether you have met your deductible, your exact plan details, and copay requirement. The copay for the initial evaluation and reassessment is typically more than the copay for subsequent treatment sessions. Contact your insurance provider or Village for more details. Dr. Clarissa does NOT set the prices when using Village/insurance.
Regional Center of Orange County (RCOC)
Dr. Clarissa is a contracted vendor for RCOC -- a nonprofit organization contracted by the State of California through the Department of Developmental Services to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

If your child qualifies for services through RCOC, then the costs are covered through RCOC. Or, RCOC can provide copay assistance for those with insurance coverage who qualify for services.
